M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science. Eligibility Criteria

  • Stream SA: 10th standard passed applicant with 75% (65% for SC/ ST/ PWD) marks in aggregate in mathematics and science subjects and take admission in 11th standard are eligible to apply for the Aptitude test. Fellowship will be entitled only when they take admission in B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. after securing 60% (50% for SC/ ST/ PWD) marks in 12th board examination from Science subjects.
  • Stream SX: Applicants who are in 12th standard with Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics & Biology subject leading to pursue B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. course are also eligible to apply for aptitude test. Conditionally the applicant must secure75% (65% for SC/ ST/ PWD) marks in aggregate in mathematics and science subjects in 10th standard board examination. Fellowship will entitled only when they take admission in B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. after securing 60% (50% for SC/ ST/ PWD) marks in 12th board examination.
  • Stream SB: students who are in 1st year in B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ Int. M.S. and must securing 60% (50% for SC/ ST/ PWD) marks in 12th board examination are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicant must be a PwD/ SC/ ST candidate.

Procedure to Apply For Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana

  • Open the official website of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India
  • From the home page of the website click “application” option
  • Then click “click here for registration” option
  • Fill the registration form by entering a name, email id, contact number and captcha code
  • Click the “register” option and then fill the rest application form with personal and academic details
  • Upload the image, signature and other mandatory documents in the prescribed form
  • Submit the application form after review of the entered details
  • Make a payment of the application form and take a print out of the application form and payment receipt.

How to Prepare for KVPY Exam

  • Exam pattern: The students are advised to study exam pattern very carefully. Before starting preparation consider the exam pattern and prepare accordingly. Students are advised to check the number of questions, marking scheme and syllabus
  • Books: Students are advised to refer to good books in order to prepare for KVPY exam that have concepts clearly stated in them
  • Cross study: If the student is in class 11 then the student is advised to study the syllabus of class 10th and 12th also
  • Mock test: Students are advised to practice mock test before appearing in exam. This will clear the concept and the student would be able to understand the mode of exam clearly.
